Governor Calvo Appoints New Single Point of Contact for FirstNet

March 7, 2016 - With the recent retirement of Mr. Bradley A. Hokanson, Government of Guam's SWIC and FirstNet SPOC, the Governor has appointed Mr. Francisco "Frank"  L.G. Lujan, Jr. as the new Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Guam to correspond with FirstNet on the design, build and deployment of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network. Mr. Lujan is the Chief Technology Officer for the Government of Guam and brings in years of experience in IT and communications having worked with IBM and GTA.

The appointment is effective March 7, 2016.

The building of a nationwide public safety broadband network (NPSBN) was mandated by Federal Law and created the First Responder Network Authority or FirstNet as the independent authority responsible for the project.
